anyone used them? I remember when i put one in my tercel the oil stayed cleaner longer (the oil on the dip stick would no longer turn jet black instantly after oil change) and the oil pressure sensor started leaking because of the increased oil pressure.

ever since then i have been sold on them, and i was wondering what you guys think, i know alot of other toyota cirlces swear by the OEM filters

heres a picture of a toyota filter on the left, and a regular one on the right:

I use a Pure 1 filter that costs around $5...for 7K miles.

What do the Toyota filters run?

Looks like Toyota uses a progressive filtration filter. Like the Amsoil filters, or at least similar to. Amsoil's filters work great on the big diesels (keeps the oil from turning that trademark diesel-oil black near as quickly) and they are rated for 7500 miles. Or was it 12500.... At any rate, they are $10.10 American for our cars. Haven't tried them yet. I've been reduced to using that economy brand though... What is it? Its the orange colored ones......

i like toyota filters on timing belt cars.they have been made here lately so they are not the same as the old filters.do not use the new filters on the chain driven truck motors.the chain tensioner needs an anti drain back vavle that actually works.i use NIPPON filters.
there is only one jeep.and that is one too many!

ive used the oem filters and trd ones in my terc, the trd is much more expensive and its the same tho only thing i found different was the flow, trd flows more but without an upgraded oil pump, its just spending more cash
tercel 4wd custom suspension, under drive pulley, vented brakes, cold air intake, and plenty more to come
