'83 Tercel SR5 4WD up for adoption

This forum is for cars that run, or at least are close to running. This isn't for parting out complete cars.

'83 Tercel SR5 4WD up for adoption

Post by Fuzzy »

Hi Guys,
I find the time has come to let my Tercel go. I'm the second owner of this car since '86. It's been my daily driver up until 2 years ago when I had to replace my '86 Toyota truck with a new Tacoma. Since then the Tercel doesn't get the love she deserves! Other interests are taking precedent over playing with the Terc.
It has 210,000+ miles.
During the winter of '93 a tree fell on the car and I had the roof replaced. Expert job but Insurance insisted on a salvage title. It is fully transferable, just says salvage on it.

Things that are fairly new(10-20,000 mi.)
Radiator
Water pump
Fuel pump
alternator and voltage reg.
Shocks and struts
Battery (1 month)
Timing belt

Things that need work
Carb needs rebuilding or replacing
A/C won't hold a charge (leak)
Fuel sending unit needs adjusting to read more than 3/4 full
Low fuel light stays on
Drivers seat is worn(see pic)

Here's some pics [http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a60 ... c025be.jpg]

It runs and shifts fine except as noted above.

I think that does it. I'm asking $1000.00. I would like someone who appreciates these cars to give it a good home. It still has a lot of miles left.
I'm located in Greenville,SC. PM with questions.

welcome to the forum, too bad about having to sell your tercel. looks like a great price, hopefully a list member will pick it up.

You got the image code incorrect, I fixed it for you:

Judging from the SC response, you've sold the car. I love the gold Tercels. What a great deal, I wish I had seen this last week. I'm in central TN and I'd love to have a second Terc. If things don't work out, and you still have the car.... I could probably be there in 4 or 5 hours...
