1984 Toyota Tercel Wagon 4WD
156,000 miles
Automatic
Factory AC and cruise control
If you are reading this you already know how cool these cars are and what a do it all machines they are. I bought this car approximately I month ago, and it is just too small for our family. The car belonged to a local doctor in our town and I have seen it around for years. He bought it new in 1984 at the local Toyota dealer. He had not been driving it much the last several years, about 1000 miles in the last 3 years according to the windshield oil change sticker. He did agree to sell it to me knowing that it needed some cleaning and basic work. I put brand new tires on it. Replaced the front drivers half shaft. The boot was dry when I bought it and I just replaced the whole thing. I also put new Toyota control arm bushings on it, and it now rides wonderfully. I took it to the local Toyota dealership(the same one where he purchased the car from) for the oil and fluid changes and basic service. I also had the tune up done with new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, egr valve, air filter, fuel filter, and replaced some worn vacuum lines, and also replaced the front and rear wiper blades. The battery is strong. The car starts great, and does not smoke, it has not used any oil as I have been driving it daily. The 4wd drive works perfectly.
The only things not working are the cruise control, the ac does not blow cold( could be only needs Freon?), and the horn does not blow, the radio is inop. The front seats are worn with some tears, the doctor had one of the wooden bead covers on and I have just left it. The paint is faded some on the roof and hood. There are a few rust spots, but nothing major at all. The drivers door appears to have been opened too far at one point, and creased the front quarter panel. It has been painted but not professionally. I think this is a good car that the complete history is known. It is, however a thirty year old car, so there are some minor scuffs and imperfections. I have tried to be completely honest, to describe the car accurately. These cars are becoming super rare, due to their wonderful attributes. I think $2500 is fair for this car with all the recent brand new improvements. A great price for a 4wd Toyota in this day and age. Contact Lad Brooks at 870-741-0812 or ladbrooks@cox.net
I am going to sell this car in about 2 weeks so if you are interested you can contact me and we can make arrangements.

The rear window looks pretty scratched - could be a problem with the sun at the rear.
