Hi everyone!
Still looking for a Terc around Providence, RI! Found this all-trac in CT. Looks like it's in pretty great condition and has low mileage, but it's out of my price range. Thoughts on this one?

that seems a bit high, it is a 23 year old car (miles are low, but not that low). I have owned both a corolla all-trac and several Tercel4wd. Although the Tercel has its issues, I like it better: lighter and more fun to drive, better visibility and better ground clearance, more "sporty" ride with more responsive steering, much easier (and cheaper) to work on. So when my wife did not want to drive the all-trac I sold it and used the money to improve my tercel even further.
Just keep looking in your state, and in the adjacent states. Driving to another state to get a good buy is will worth the trip. Also watch for them in back yards are in parking lots. If you inquire on a home with a non-running tercel in the back yard, they will be likely happy to sell it to someone that will fix it up and put it back on the road. Tercels seems to carry sentimental value to their long time owners and they hate to see it taken to a crusher.

that's far too much for that all trac. it looks like it's in great condition, plus it is pretty low miles, but that's still far too much for such an old car. i have one and love it but as petros notes, they are a totally different beast from a 4wd tercel. i think the all tracs drive a lot smoother and nicer than tercels (and the FI engines are far more consistent than the terc's carb), but i actually prefer driving tercs. i can't say what it is because technically, i think the corolla wins in most areas for me, but tercs are so odd and endearing.

Well, it is certainly clean on the outside, but - wonder why no photos of the interior or engine bay? Also no info on the transmission (What is a '4999' tranny?).
Glad it's not nearer STL - but no way for $5K, even as a starting point for a used car dealer lot's price. I'd bet it didn't bring more than $2K at the most on a trade-in at a real Toy dealer.
