clutch knock?!

Waiting at the stoplight, I thought, man this engine has a bad knock- better check the timing but when I pushed the clutch in, it went away :huh: Yep the knock is associated with the clutch-goes away about half way down. Anyone ever heard this? It doesnt sound like the whine of a bad throwout bearing, more like an engine knock. Probably time to change the clutch, man I gots way to many projects to do :unsure: ...

bad thrust bearings in the engine maybe?maybe a throw out bearing or pilot bearing but i doubt it.
