My car had 176,XXX last. The tranny is not the original, so i would guess less than that. The man i worked with rebuilding my car was a master toyota diognostic technician, and he thought that the car was in excellent shape. The trans never gave me problems except the stick would freeze up on really cold mornings in the winter, but that should be fixed by changing the fluid. I was always able to work it free on those cold mornings, and i rolled it soon after that issue appeared, so i never got to change the fluid. The trans shifted fine in gears 1 - 4 and gear 5 would shift good under acceleration from gear 4 - 5, but when putzin around and choosing gear 5 after slowing down, and deciding u still need gear 5, it would make a slight grind but would go in w/o a prob. The syncro's are the most likely culprit, but it isnt' bad enough to warrant a rebuild or to cause mistrust in the reliability.

yes. the only thing thats sold are the front lights and the driver side window hardware. I stilll have the driver side glass. I have everything else. I am considering stripping off a few parts for myself and scrapping the car because i need to get rid of it, so please don't hold back, i would prefer to sell these parts to real tercel drivers...

I like when you give me the zip code so i can calculate shipping. Unfortunately I can't make it home this weekend from college b/c of finals, so i can't make any progress with finding shipping costs until this comming wednesday, Feb. 15 when i have spring break. If you keep adding requests for parts, i will get you the price and shipping costs asap when i get back home. I thank you all for you interest. It makes me happy to sell these parts to other loving tercel owners instead of junking them.

a slight change of plans on my part, if anybody is interested, i will sell the entire car as is (missing front light frames, marker lights and driver window regulator, driver side glass is still here and intact). My junkyard offered me $150. I would rather sell the car to another tercel driver than the bum running the junk yard. The reason for the drastic change is that i need to make the car go away because it is hogging the lift(it is my girlfriend's father's lift) and i need to make the lift usable for other projects. The car is located in Alburtis, PA, and will be available for pick up only. I will work on making some pictures and providing a link to them for all to view. The car is available for local pick up or it can be delivered for a price. The car has to go within a week or two, at which point i will strip it, junk the body, sell what i can, and accept the losses.

Ok, i have uploaded a bunch of fairly high resolution pictures including some pictures of the under carriage while we had the car up on the lift. Please inform me of any interest in the car asap because it needs to go very soon. For a fee proportional to the cost of fuel and tolls, we can tow the car on a dolly to whomever wants to buy it within a days round trip for us from Alburtis, PA. We are willing to drive a distance requiring a 2 day round trip for us if the buyer pays for basic hotel expenses. The website that has the pictures is

The pictures are linked individually from there so computers with slower internet connections can manage them 1 at a time due to their size and resolution. Thank you all for you interest and i look forward to hearing from you all.
