This car is in Ontario, Canada, and is driven in the winter.
The owner claims it's original paint but the wheels were refinished.
His method? Frequent washing, rustproofing every year, plus his own comprehensive rustproofing process every few years.
The oddest difference between the 2WD and 4WD wagons is the location of the fuel filler. On the 2WD it's on the left side, on the 4WD it's on the right, thus the difference in exhaust routings. It also means they have different quarter panels.
My 86 2WD wagon has 256k miles and original paint on all but 3 panels (left fender, and both right doors). It's a southern car, so it has almost no rust.
