A few examples from around the PacNW

A few examples from around the PacNW

Post by deejay1272 »

Here's one that a dealer is selling for $3k (only 180k miles on it!) http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/ctd/3372363305.html

Here's one that "needs a tranny part" (not sure what part exactly) http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/3363332569.html

Also, an '84 in Gig Harbor, WA with a "carb issue" and a leaking windshield: http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/3364478124.html

Love this '87 Cream Puff in WA for $3k: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/3368933818.html

And finally, here's a nice '87 for only $1,700 down in Eugene, OR (this one definitely strikes my fancy) : http://eugene.craigslist.org/cto/3371377289.html

I've seen lots of postings lately. Not sure why so many have popped up suddenly. Interesting that the sale price is creeping up to the $3k mark for ones in good condition. I admit that I've been tempted to sell mine to take advantage of the appreciating value! However, I know I would feel bad if I ever sold mine, so I'll probably hold on to it for quite a while longer (unless DLB convinces me to buy an All-Trac Corolla or some other nonsense!)

that last one has the coveted black interior. unfortunately, it also has major damage to the rear driver side corner.

definitely a fan of the all trac! if you see one at a dealership, you should test drive it just to see how you like the feel of it. it's apples and oranges between them and tercels so it's hard to compare them, but both are very, very rad.

What is with the weird steering wheels in those cars??
That last one looks like the RS has seen some issues too.
Isn't the first one the one that has a weird engine transplant, looks a little rough for $3K.

the '83 through '86 USDM got this ugly steering wheel with a large square box in the center. One can speculate that they were anticipating the requirement of airbags. '87 and '88 got an MR2 style steering wheel (except without the leather cover) which was an improvement in appearance. I installed an all leather '88 corolla gts steering wheel, simple three spoke, black and all leather.
