Contacted the seller and it looks nice. Creampuff with solid exterior. No apparent rust. Interior looks OK. Sent me some photos, so if anyone wants to take a gander I'll forward them to you.
Not a very talkative seller but this is what I was able to get out of him:
"hi. The car has clean title, I am third owner. hasnt been driven in a few years. although started up and made it to home depot and back last week for a test."
So if you need to go to home depot in Ft. Lauderdale, at least it'll do that!
My family lives in the area and we know an awesome vietnamese mechanic who specializes in older Toyotas...but I highly doubt I can convince my folks to buy it and I'm not sure how I'd get the car to Portland, OR without paying a fortune or taking more than a week off work.
