1986 Toyota Tercel 4x4 wagon, currently odes not run, timing belt needs replacing. motor ran great until recently, excellent 5 speed stick transmission, newer clutch. Never crashed, great surf buggy. Racks on top, new starter. Tires are in very great shape too. Only 800 bucks and a little work and this is a sweet car for beach, camping, offroad, mountains, hiking, biking, snow or ??? it gets 36 MPG

Just so you know 1986 Toyota Tercel engines are "Interference" engines, so if you break the belt from being a slacker and not replacing the timing belt, the pistons smash into the valves destroying the motor. Surfs up, sketchy.

This is awfully tempting. Since when are 3A-C's interference engines? Sounds like someone didn't get a deal struck with the surfer dude.

It might have already had bad valves and the buyer thought the timing belt caused the damage. The ad is already is deleted, either sold or took it off the market.
