T4 on the big screen

I started watching a movie last night, and lo and behold, a 4WD appeared. I haven't finished the movie yet, but you get the idea. Best part ever, the female actor has named her Tercel "Sacagawea!" What's with these cars having names?!

is it a canadian film? that looks like an alberta license plate.

Filming location is in Sante Fe, New Mexico. I think the plate must be a yellow background with red lettering unlike our red and white, 'wild rose' Albertans~
