That's a bargain. Do it. Totally different driving to the the Terc specially with NVH levels and a nice bit of extra power. But they are nice cruisers for the open road not so good off road (I really haven't tried mine) and much easier to 4age transplant. The transmissions are bulletproof. If you don't like it I reckon you won't lose any money

i'm working on it. it's a bit of a journey for me so i've asked toughtercel to take a look for me, if he gives his approval i'll go for it. sounds like there's lots of interest in it so it might sell before i get a chance but that's fine. there will be others.

sending you a PM for some all-trac chat, mattel.

That red paint fades so easily. the fact that this is so shiny still would make me consider that the owner has looked after this car well. Either that or you have exceedingly cloudy weather...

he probably just washed or waxed it. i agree, the reds fade the worst, i've seen lots that look like hell. i'd like a grey or blue one but i don't really care. i'd probably end up flat-blacking it anyway!

Also. the sunroof is freaking awesome but everyone that I have seen has rust around the front edges where the seal meets the sunroof panel. if you open it and there is only a few bubbles then you are doing well. I would ring up a mechanic and get them to check if for you first thing monday if it is still available and buy it over the phone if it checks out.. also the exhaust manifold often cracks as the engine mounts get old and the weight of the engine transfers onto the manifold.

I remember when I got my toyota paseo the paint was extremely faded. I thought I had to get a new paint job. I took it into a detail shop gave them $100 the buffed out the paint it looked like it just rolled out of the factory. I don't know why but this happens to alot of corollas, tercels, paseos, and the trucks from these years that have the red color. Every time I see somebody with a faded red paint I tell them to buff it out. Nobody believes me. They always tell me that it needs a new paintjob.

i had a '91 VW passat wagon in a similar red and found exactly what you said, andrew. it was super faded so i got my buddy who had a mobile auto detailing business to buff it up and it looked great. i should have waxed it then to keep it looking nice but i didn't and within a year it was extremely faded again. lesson learned!
