they where asking 2 grand for it since it was posted but now he brought it down to 1800. The miles is what scare me. I emailed him when he was asking 2 grand, and said not to be insulting but i thought that was a bit high asking price for such a high miles car. He said he would be willing to negotiate some but has had so much interest in it.
does 270k worry anyone or should I go and take a look at it? 1800 still seems a bit high even for that amount of miles seems to me like something in it is just waiting to go out. what would be a good offer do you guys think? i am not a big fan of the gold color either lol but i haven't been able to find one of these locally that would be in my price range.
opinions??
thanks guys.

Seems good price for a one owner SR5. I wouldn't worry to much about the mileage if it has been well looked after and regular maintenance. If they don't have receipts it will be hard for them to justify though

looks like a great price if it runs and drives good. see if you can find out how old the clutch is on it, and as long as the trans is smooth and quite, likely a very good buy.

Boy, if the i/s looks as nice as the o/s - go for it, taking into consideration Petros and Mattel's caveats.
Since it is from BC, I'd presume it is 270K km's and not miles, despite his mention (unless he's already done the conversion).
A certain PLUS is that it was the original owner who gifted it - should undoubtedly have been someone who loved the car to have kept it for 27 years - and withstood the slings and arrows of neighbors and friends for many years.

I just realized that he mentioned driving it down from BC. I am hoping that it was a BC car then so it would be KMs and not miles on it. Huge Difference if that's the case i may have just gotten the green light from the wife to go and look at it thank you for pointing that out to me!!!!.
they didn't have power anything in those years though huh like locks and windows. did they have ac?
thanks again guys.
