looks like a great buy.

All of the all-tracs I have seen in the States have steel wheels, could be an all-trac wheel, I have just never seen it.

This is the one i have been trying to get a hold of the guy to go and look at when it was 1900 now that he lowered it i am def going to look at it i am really excited. quick question what do you mean by all trac? does that mean this is a all wheel drive model? still new to tercel wagons.

First Toyota had a stroke of brilliance and adopted the entry level econo-box second gen Tercel to a little 4x4 wagon. Than it became an obsolete platform, 8 valve carb engine, dated styling, etc. So they replace it in 1988 with an AWD corolla wagon, in North America it was called an all-trac (Carib in Europe and elsewhere). 16-valve, fuel injected, transverse engine, modern styling, what is not to like? Sales dropped off, the car was unsuited to rough roads, so that was quickly drop it too and replace it in 1994 with the RAV4, which is still a good seller (though much bigger than the Tercel, it shares our heritage).

They called the early AWD corollas, Camrys, and Minivans "all-trac".

Optional wheel on the SR5 Corolla 4wd Wagon (as it is here in Australia - also called Corolla Kombi - Allrad - All-trac - Carib Sprinter and Tercel! in some parts of the world, quite confusing!). Most owners in Australia had those wheels. They look great on the all-trac but not so good on the angular Tercel IMHO. More info http://www.alltracwagon.net/forum/

looks like it's a DLX, not an SR5. DLX is the base trim model, SR5 is the fancy trim model. no mechanical difference, the big difference are the SR5s have a tachometer, more adjustable cloth seats, and (this is the best) wider rub strips on the doors. as if anyone gives a damn about how wide their rub strips are! i like the tach and seats but the rub strips are pointless IMO.

i have seen those alloys on all-tracs. i like the style, too bad they're 13".

jp, don't be afraid of the 'trash.' these cars are super easy to repair. i've bought a few that people would consider junk but with some time and very little money, i've fixed them into rad little cars. if the engine runs strong, the trans shifts well, and the frame isn't rusted all to hell, you've still got a perfectly good tercel with a bunch of easy fixes.
