So happy with them so far. Some pounding and beating required. I now have more into the wheels and tires than the purchase of the vehicle...
part of the second photo is cropped out

now it needs some paint and a few other odds and ends.
The lift is cherokee front springs front and rear. The rears had a small coil clipped and the front had the small coil clipped on top and two full coils clipped on the bottom. Rides well rubs at full turn and left rear rubs on compression due to pan hard travel direction. Will work on rear but there is nothing to do about full turn rubs from what I can see.

Wish I had some AZ tercel people to 4wheel with now. All I have is a few friends w/ FJ's. Not that I get left behind ever but it would be cool to buddy up and do a run w/ some fellow underdogs.
If you put longer wheel studs and space the wheel out a bit it might help the tire rub in the front. A little cold forming of where it rubs might help too, if possible.
Watch out on spacing the wheels too far, it will put new and larger stresses on the wheel bearings and front hub, should be okay, just do not go overboard.
Those front fenders look like they need much larger tires, perhaps making a rubber skirt to go around the opening (like they do with jeeps) it will make it look more finished. Spray the inside of the fender well with undercoat to darken it, will also help appearance.

Longer wheel studs seem hard to source. I tried at vato zone and they had none to offer. It would also move the contact point out further and the wheel well actually gets smaller as it goes towards the driver. It rubs on the frame so I don't think I will be messing with that.
I was thinking of finishing off the fender straight to the door rather than curving down like on a CJ. I also plan to tie down the wires and use rattle can truck bed liner inside the fender and possibly on the lower part of the vehicle up to the side door bumper thinga-ma-whats-its. We'll see. My wife actually likes the car now.
Will check mileage and report. Not sure on speedo calc haven't done the math yet, Surprisingly easier to turn and smoother and quieter on the road.
I think most tire stores that sell custom wheels sells them. I know the chain Les Schwab tires has them in stock. And I have seen them at the Costco tire center too.

Thanks guys! I did a lot of reading and poking around before I landed on this set up. It can still be refined some but I feel it is 85% or so right now. I really look forward to the opportunity to take it off road. I am going to need to wait a few months before dropping any more money into it. Tuesday will be spent driving to Page AZ and back so I will get a stab at highway mileage. Looks like the speedo is off by 15% or so.
Just took my '87 4wd wagon for a two mile between highway exits and I can't believe how high the RPM's are at 65 mph. Taller 13's or upgrading to 14's or 15's have to be tha answer.
Where is a list of taller 13's or cars w/14 or 15's that bolt up??
housewiz, remember that bigger tires/wheels that lower revs on hwy cruising will also slow acceleration. i'm sure that, driving a tercel wagon, you're not too concerned about how fast you get from 0-60 but it's something to consider.
the biggest 13's i ran were 185/80R13 but i didn't like the handling--mushy in corners. i got a little bit of scrub on full lock with those. use a tire converter (google it and lots will come up) to find matching sizes for 14 and 15" rims. a similar size of tire on a bigger rim should be fine.
post an ad on craigslist looking for cheap 4x100 wheels, or go to a wrecker and ask them. there will be many to choose from.
the high rpm is typical of all smaller engine cars, that is how they get more efficiency out of the compact engines. Even our Mazda 3.0L v6 fwy cruises at about half the rpm of my Tercel. But all the 4 cyl. Hondas, Nissans, and other cars I have owned all had fairly high rpm fwy speed, in the 3,000-4000 range.
