just checked a parts website. it lists #A6000-174968 as the # for the OEM and NPN brand filters and #A6000-168737 as the # for the bosch filter.

I use a Mobil 1 filter, model M1103. It is a tiny thing.

one of the guys on the 4AC forum said he buys cases of the toyota oil filters off of ebay--as cheap as 10 filters for $35. that's a hell of a deal, and cheaper than anything at the parts stores. i checked it out and it's definitely the route i am going to go in the future.

none of those ones ship to canada and all the ones on ebay.ca are way overpriced. if i can't find a good auction that ships here i will probably toss peter or synth a few half butts to buy them for me and then grab them from them at the meet in june.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but this is valuable information to have. I find that some stores' books only go back to model year 1994, which doesn't help when trying to find the correct oil filter for my 1985 T4WD.

Wix oil oilter part number is 51394
Fram oil filter part number is 2951

i just needed a few oil filters but i've been finding more and more stores here have less options besides fram, which i am avoiding like the plague, so i called toyota to ask how much their OE filters are. i got them for $5.50 each! that's only .50 more than the cheapest, no name garbage filters. i couldn't believe it. i'll be getting all my future toyota oil filters from the dealership.
