a good way to get more hits is to add a couple meta tags to the begining of the HTML of the websites main page. I am going to use [] in place of <> so the comp doesn't think I am doing html.
so the start would look something like
[html]
[head]
[title]Tercel4wd.com[/title]
[META name="description" content="Forums and general information on the Toyota Tercel, 4WD wagon and the people who love them."]
-----then you would type in things that you think people would search for if they were doing a web search----
[META name="keywords" content="tercel, toyota, toyota tercel, 4WD, four wheel drive, 4 wheel drive, offroad, offroading, off roading, 3A, 4A, 4-AGE, 3A-C, 3 A, 4 A, etc etc etc."]
[/head]
all that is behind the scenes...then obviously you continue from there with the [BODY] work...anywho, just a suggestion. The thing that is tedious is that the best results will come from putting in as many variations of different search phrases that you think someone might type in to google or yahoo or whatnot. most search engines search for meta tags first because it is faster. then secondary it will try to do a quick efficient search of the site itself, but it limits itself because a lot of sites are huge and it is searching for key points. the meta description is the description of the site that the engine will give after the search...otherwise it will just show part of the paragraph that their search phrase or word was lacated in. anywho..I think that is about it for now....tootles.
