not as common as the wagon but I have seen a few. There happens to be one just like that in the local Picknpull right now.

They also made all-trac Camrys, but the only ones of those I have seen are the sedan. There is supposed to be an all-trac wagon camry as well, but I have never seen one. I think I could get the wife to drive one of those if I can get an auto, living on rural property it is just now worth owning anything that is not a wagon.

wow, i've either never seen one before of just mistaken it for a regular 2WD since that's exactly what it looks like.

petros beat me to the 4WD camry. i've only seen two, both were beaters but i was intrigued anyway. really ugly, as it was one of the older generation of camrys with the sharp angles and corners. even worse than our cars, i dare say. i want to know what their mileage was like though, same with this all-trac sedan.

There are a couple Camry AllTrac sedans I found, if you want to own one...never seen a Camry Wagon AllTrac, but the 1988-89 model wagon wouldn't look too bad.

It crossed my mind to get the camry alltrac (someone was selling a rusty beater locally a few years ago for $700), and than get a decent Camry wagon and do the swap over to get me a camry alltrac wagon. But I would likely have to cut out the whole floor and weld it into the wagon. Figured it was not worth the effort, I do not want a car that big and my wife would not appreciate the effort. Getting parts would be interesting too, especially for the next owner.

Wouldn't it just be easier to cut the top/rear hatch area off of both and swap that?

did dealer exchanges for a local toy dealer back in '89. drove a camry all-trac wagon with a 4 cyl stick shift- COOL CAR. sticker price of 13k as i recall. also drove a v6 camry sedan with a stick. that car RAN! (never seen or heard of one since.)
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!

not likely. It is easy to find a camry wagon in good condition for cheap, especially if it had a bad engine or trans. But an all-trac camery in good condition would be worth big bucks, but not a beater/rust buck one. So the idea was to get a decent wagon body, and switch the drivetrain from a junk all-trac sedan. None of the welding of the pan would show, so would not have to a good welder, no paint or body work necessary either to make it look nice. Likely would not even harm the paint on the body of the wagon, so less work I figure to make it look nice.

Much better to just find an All-trac camry wagon, which I am told they exist, I have just never seen one.
