FS: Rebuilt Engine in PA $600

Post by eurovintage »

Hey guys, I just joined the site. I am a member over at 4ac powered. I had a two door tercel that I had built but am now parting out. I have an engine that I built for it with about 600-700 miles on it. Its a 3ac. Completely rebuilt.... Head rebuilt, new pistons (std. bore), rings, bearings, new oil pump, water pump, etc... I would like $600 for it. If there is any interest please let me know. Oh, and I have pics of it and here is when I was building it: http://4ac-powered.forumotion.com/t1346 ... rcel-hatch

EV, i just checked that link. i needed to be a member of 4acpowered to view it but luckily i already am! you did a beautiful job on it, and the entire car for that matter. i've always hated the hatchbacks but you really made it look slick. what made you decide to part the car out?

just reading through that thread and i see you put a 4AC head on a 3AC. are they identical? this topic has come up on this forum before but i don't think we've had any verification. this could be good info.

Haha, thanks man... the hatchbacks are uglier than all hell... kind of hard to make them look good. I actually am stripping it down and make a rally cross car out of it... i think... :D we'll see. I work on a ton of stuff. The 4ac heads and the 3ac heads are exactly the same except for the valve cover / shape of the valve cover mounting surface. You need to use a 3ac valve cover with a 3ac head and a 4ac valve cover with a 4ac head. With the 4ac, toyota took the side of the 3ac heads valve cover mounting surface that looks like a snake, and made it straight... if that makes sense... makes for a better sealing surface and less leaking
