ARBSKYNXNEX - Watch Your Back ! ! !

Post by ARCHINSTL »

Just a word to the wise - remember the Biblical admonition: "Revenge is mine, sayeth the squirrel."
And if a squirrel sidles up to you at the bus stop, remember Don Vito's advice to Salvatore Squirrel: "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer." We don't want to one day read that " arbskynxnex sleeps with the fishes."
They might be secreting Semtex under the cowl vents of your Terc and not acorns...

Taxidermist's eBay ad: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Squirrel-Mount- ... 27be343772

Apparently the featured rodent is from the Rambo Rodent Race (subspecies minutemanidae), which is quite distinct from the gregarious rodent dlb encountered, the Sanguine Squirrel Species (subspecies peacenikipithecus).

P.S. Now I think I'll have another big swig of Bailey's - you know, hair of the squirrel...

Squirrels don't scare me; I took that big one down in my sig with the help of my buddy. It was a monster and weighed in at about 470lbs before we butchered it! A .444 Marlin works great for dispatching the giant squirrels up in the mountains here, you just have to be alert in the old growth since they can actually climb those trees and get the jump on you.

Even I, in the flyover state of Missouri, have heard of the massive USA grey squirrel invasion of the UK and their suppression of your red version.
It's our payback for Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne.

I live in an older ring 'burb of St. Louis, Kirkwood, which is one of the oldest "Tree Cities" of the US. We have many oak trees of various persuasions and consequently many greys. They are truly PITAs who destroy gardens and lawns with their digging. My sister, in a similar 'burb here, had an attic invasion a few years ago and they chewed the insulation from electrical wires. An inspector fortunately caught it; he said it was a fire waiting to happen.

The UK never did have STL. Spain took over from France in 1763 and kept it until 1802 when it was given back to France. The USA purchased it as part of the Louisiana Purchase in 1803.
During our Revolution, England did attack STL to no avail. England did have a large amount of land SE of us, having acquired it from France after the Seven Years War (1763) - much of this was lost in battles of the Revolution.

Good Ho! on figgering the avatar! The colors represent combinations of the USA, Spain, and France (Bourbon, Napoleonic, and Republican) flags - fortunately, only four colors are involved.

Last fall the lil' buggers where literally tearing holes in my roof to store acorns. I'd get up there and patch it, 2 days later they'd do it again. I set traps, nothing. I shot one off a branch with a pellet gun--it just ran off. I would have taken care of it with my Ruger 10/22, but I lived in town. I finally took care of the problem by burning my house down. Moral of the story: Do what ever it takes to stop these vicious tree rats :)

I get along with the squirrels around here...have a dog in the yard...so they stay out....and they don't mess around on the roof. My mother on the other hand has had problems with them getting into the attic and building nests...she sets a live-trap for them. She thinks they've been in the basement also. Mostly the smaller reds around here.

Try some subsonic rounds. My folks live in a residential neighborhood and Dad and I whacked a opossum a few years ago using subsonic .22 rounds. The thing was hiding under the shed and dad was on the adjacent side to where I was and he never heard me shoot the thing.

I had a squirrel chewing on some deer antler at my apartment. I caught the little bugger right in the act he stared at me and kept chewing. Tried to sick the cat on it, but she's worthless. I went inside and grabbed a yard stick and whacked him pretty good. Totally shocked him and he limped off and I haven't had a squirrel on my deck again.

Or if you own a clay pigeon launcher there is a solution...
