Yeah - not bad. I like the red color. Makes it go faster, right?

$2,800 though....kinda steep if you ask me. This guy's looking for offers, but I think $2,800 is too high to begin with. Then again, these things have proven time and again that they can fetch that sort of an asking price without too much effort. Maybe I'm just cheap!?

Either way, I'm glad to see that these little cars continue to be on the road and continue to hold their value. Makes me feel less bad about dumping money into my T4WD!

More info to be posted on other work done.

it is hard to believe a DX can fetch that much, it is not quite in perfect condition. A clean low miles SR5 maybe.

This one's still for sale by the way. The guy emailed me back with some details on it:
Well here it is..The cars not perfect, you can drive it as is but there are some minor things you will have to do it to make it almost perfect...the seatbelt and ebrake lights are constantly on, wiring will have to be checked out. driver door shows wear might have to spray it with a can of interior paint. the seat could use some upholstering or a seat cover. engine runs good. like any other carburated engine, gotta give it some gas when u start it. alternator and distributor and battery look like theyve been replaced not too long ago. not a drop of oil has hit the ground, and its been sitting in my garage for about 2 months. i bought it at an insurance auction, drove it home from spokane, replaced the front bumper, and fender and had it completely repainted. title should be here any day now, not sure whether it will be clear or rebuilt but nonetheless doesnt really matter for a car this old, if i was able to drive it home, obviously it doesnt have any frame damage. because it has no power steering, when stationary, yes the wheel is hard to turn, but when the car starts moving its fairly easy. same with the ac, i drove it back from spokane at the end of july and i didnt break a sweat, just rolled the window down, put the vents to "cool" setting and i was fine. transmission is steady and strong in all gears, (by strong i mean it doesnt slip, not like fast, its a 1.5 remember ;) can be put into 4wd easily with out stopping the vehicle. it has a low 141xxx miles and it shows. please find me one in this condition for this price in the area, then complain about the price being too high.
reason why im selling it is because i bought it as a project car to work on in my automotive technology class, i was going to modify it to be an off-road/dune type of rig, but then i figured it might mean more to someone left all original, plus there wasnt really anything major to fix or rebuild. so i bought a 78 firebird instead to work on ;)
and put the tercel up for sale
I uploaded high-res photos of it if anyone's interested: http://d.pr/J7YY
