What do you guys think about this one? "Broke by the right front A arm" - what does that even mean? Is that a control arm issue or a frame issue?

Ok so my wife and I bought this car in Bellingham 8 months ago. The car drove fine and was nice. We drove it down here to Bremerton and drove it daily. Well yesterday something happened to it and it started shaking going down the highway. We took it to Les Schwab's they told us the frame is broke by the right front A arm. So guess what? The car is not road worthy. The engine only has 146,000 miles on it. All the gears work on it and it's in really good condition. The body is straight on it and everything works. The kid that sold it to us lucked out. That little bastard..... So anyways if you have one and need parts this thing is clean. Or buy it to make a Rally car or a Derby car out of it. The windshield is cracked but all the other glass is good. Maybe you can weld the una-body? If no one buys it we will turn it into a derby car for kitsap county or something. I would just feel real bad if someone needs parts and we beat the crap out of it. Its is a 5 speed with the 6th speed when you put it in 4 wheel drive. $650 OBO
I will take pictures tomorrow after I go pick it up from Les Schwabs.
Thanks

Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.

Re: Bremerton, WA $650
I ended up picking this one up for parts. I had to tow it back on a auto-dolly. Anyway, I just wrote about this in the parts section. I was considering welding up the frame damage, but right now, I am leaning towards using this as a engine tranny, interior parts car right now...leaning this way after discovering the repaired collision damage (what eventually caused the frame to crack). I will get the parts i don't need on the parts for sale section at some point.

Not fixable? Heresy! of course it is fixable, you just need the right skills. Is the rest of the body/inteiror etc. worth keeping, or does it have other issues making welding it up a questionable expence? What color is it? how much did you get it for? $650 seems a bit steep for a parts car.

Re: Bremerton, WA $650
I didn't say it was not fixable. Said I am leaning away from welding it, because of discovering the front-end collision damage that led to the cracking. I'd rather not spend the time and effort because of the collision damage. If it were totally straight and clean, then I would do it. Additionally, there are other, minor issues that add up...no muffler, major cracked windshield and seal questionable, lots of shoddy electrical splicing, rear hatch gutted out, rear diff pinion seal bad, mismatched wheels (though Toyo tires are in excellent shape).
And...I like having spare parts for my clean and straight SR5.
I paid $500. I offered $400, feeling that is really all it was worth. But the seller had me. I had driven three hours and had already picked up the rented trailer. I finally got them to come down to $500, not the most reasonable sellers. The couple said they bought it in March for 1300, and I think they were upset at the loss when the frame damage occurred.
