terc cutting out

im ideling her in neutrul but everytime i take the foot of the pedal she just cuts out when im reving there is a "poppong" sound coming from where the air filter is any ideas guys????

I would check your vacuum lines. It sounds like your mixture is off. Also check your Ignition timing as well. I cant remember the factory spec off the top of my head, but a simple search should find it. That or another member will come along.

Also does it do this after its warmed up? when its cold? or all the time?

The pop pop pop sound is it backfiring through the carb.

ok i have checked the vacumme hoses and they seem fine another thing is when im reving and u can hear the popping sound i can see a puff of smoke coming from the hole where the air filter is

maybe switched two of them?

well i changed the spark plugs unless the mechanic didnt know where they went is it dangerouse to change em round

Might be the reed valve for the air injection? If you have that system....

BOOM best advice ever i may be drunk or aussies call it opissed but i just changed 2 spark plug wires and shes running like a bird cant wait to gewt her back on the road boom/!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
