Fresh air intake hose.......

New to the site!

Just got my Tercel but found a busted fresh air intake hose tonight....... What size hose do I need? Can I just get a generic one?

I'm know d*** about cars!

Hi and welcome to the forums! You can find a generic hose at most autoparts stores. This hose diverts hot air from the exhaust manifold to aid with cold driveability and to prevent carburetor icing at low temperatures.

is that the fresh air intake, that comes from next to the headlight, or the heat riser tube that goes from the exhaust manifold?

the heat riser tube is a waste of effort, cooler intake air means power power output. these devices were added to the keep the input air in a narrow ranged of elemental test like that.
