Wanted - Front Bumper, Driver Side Fender and more...

Yeah, so, I crunched my new wagon a wee bit this morning. I feel horrible. So I want to fix her ASAP.

Here it was before:


Things I'm looking for, in the Seattle area:

Front Bumper
Drivers side fender, hopefully in white
Headlight reflector and glass from I think an 1987 Tercel with composite headlights. Not sure on this as the previous owner did the swap.

I'll take pictures of it tonight as I take the bent things off.

Please let me know if you have anything I might need. And to be clear I'll pay decent prices for parts. Also I have the original headlight assemblies and some other parts from the previous owner I'd just give to someone if they wanted them.

The Gen II sedans have the same parts, so your search can widen a bit - although - you might check the EPC sticky in this forum to double-check.

Save the turn signal lamp; with a translucent "lens" made from a Tupperware (or similar) lid, it makes a dandy underdash light!

And after massaging the bumper with a sledge hammer a little...

The metal back of the headlight assembly is ok. But the fender is a little far from coming back. Just too many little bits and folds at the tip that aren't gonna come back.

Jackpot! I found in a pick-a-part nearby:

Good front bumper
Good front left fender, white
Good hood, white

I'm still looking for the rare 87/88 tercel wagon composite headlight...

If anyone needs anything pulled off this car let me know. Also a guy was there pulling the transmission already. Blue plaid interior in decent shape.

i think there's an '87 headlight near me. let me know if you want me to get it and ship it to you. they're bulky enough that it will probably cost a fair amount though.

Awesome, I might take you up on that. This light seems somewhat unique so I'll take some pictures of the other good side before having you send anything. That probably would be this weekend, after I get the salvage parts and I have things on the car apart again.

I need the glass and the plastic bucket. I could massage the metal backing if need be, but I'd also like to get that too.

do you still have the remains of the "crunched" fender? i'm looking for a rust- free fender that i can "section" the wheel well area off of and graft onto my rusty l f fender. yours looks perfect for what i have in mind. pls get back to me if you still have it and want to sell. thanx. Sorry rer233, I gave it to the yard for the core. I didn't have room for the fender, hood and bumper. Next time I'll hang on to it and offer it up since the core is almost nothing.

Also, I just got back from taking the Tercel to LA and back in a weekend. ~2000 miles, with 4 people and a small trailer I built to hold 4 mopeds. We were full. Made it up all the passes just fine and even this 5000 ft one north of LA when we cut over to the coast.

Next step is finding the 2 row radiator as it got a little hot when pushing up the California passes. Nothing turning on the heater didn't cool right down though.

i remember taking those passes in my terc's maiden voyage on our way to burning man. it was hot as a motherf*cker and the car was loaded to the gills. the engine got quite hot. i was worried but just took it easy and would let it rest appropriately. also, i remember the stock carb would have trouble starting again when it was really hot out.

are those corolla GTS wheels?

Ford Escort. They are pretty scratched up but a friend has the same wheels on his Festiva and sanded them down and used some Rustoleum wheel paint and his look pretty awesome.
