Lower Timing Gear Needed....

Post by 8liter »

Hello all... Well it appears Ive done something most noone has seen before. I'm hoping that someone has a 3AC in pieces that can spare the lower timing gear that goes on the crank.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks, Casey

I might have one for you. I will have to look. do you need the key as well? Many not have that.

Sounds good. Maybe you won't have too. I called Toyota today and the parts guy said they were good part numbers and ordered me the gear and keyway...all for $236....!

Now we'll see if they actually come in.

Thanks, Casey

is that $236.00?!?! just for a gear and key? DO NOT PAY IT!! what a rip-off. Tom posted that Butler Toyota had it for $15.

I will sell you mine for $10 plus shipping. But you will still need a key.

236.00 are you kidding!!!!!!!
watch out at the dealers they have a jacked up price and if you complain they will lower it by a third but it will still be way too much

i too would have mailed you one for cost of shipping
probably around 6.00
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.

Timing Gear Cost:
I just checked Butler again - retail is $20 and they have it for $15.
I did note that the pulley is $214 retail and they have it for $161.
I'd certainly suggest a call to Butler - looks like you are buying the pulley and the gear (retail adds up to $234...).

Oops.... sorry guys. The buttons on my Droid are too Damn small ( and I didn't proofread very well either.). It was actually $23 for pulley and key. Thanks for back checking that pricing. Looks like my local dealer is priced about right.
