I knew about the BritCar terms (ooops-sorry for the Pommie reference) from sooo many Morris Minors.
I remember being puzzled upon reading the Owners manual with my first Minor, a '52. It referred to an 'anti-dazzle device.' It took me quite a while to figger out that it was referring to the headlamp dimmer switch...
Kinda like reading the instructions to my first VCR from the Pacific Rim.
