The other day I was making my every so often j-yard rounds and stumbled across an '87 T4wd! Extremely rare in this part of the country. It is a brown non SR5 with most of the front end missing, though I did snag the grill, and the only other front end part is the right headlight. It has the 6 speed (showing 234k) intact which does shift through all the gears, I will smurf it for myself next week hopefully before the crusher gets it. Brown cloth seats showing the usual wear.
The funny thing is that I saw a "1987 Tercel" listed with no pic on the yard's website a few months ago. I thought, "eh, it's gonna be another hatchback" and blew it off until I had time to check it out. The car appears to have no body damage, so apparently once again some jackass scrapped it instead of throwing a few hundys at it.
Does anyone want any parts from it?

Nice find! Whenever I go to sift through the bone yard, my heart skips a beat whenever I do spot a T4WD. Unfortunately I'm still looking for one with a good interior and good manual transmission...

I feel you deejay - indeed hearts do skip whenever a cool old car is spotted in a yard. Happens to me with old british and italian sportscars too. I suppose if I went to some yards in europe I'd have had a baker's dozen worth of Threlcus's. Free set of stock alloys to whoever can guess that reference! I'm serious, I'll never get around to using them, just pay shipping. Don't bother googling, I spelled it wrong - I'm looking for brain activity here. This should be fun...

I also will sell the '87 grill at my cost ($24) to whoever needs it, keyword 'needs'. Monday I plan to visit that '87 again if I don't get too f'ed up on my birthday Sunday.

Are you perhaps referring to The Baker's dozen and it's many sequels? I don't remember most of the other titles.. one that stands out is The Dough also rises..or rises again.. something like that lol.
