i laughed out loud at this vid. those dogs are hilarious (and adorable), and i also like the EL shot, the medication in plain view on the dash, and the back just crammed full of stuff. that is one bleak landscape though, bud. you need a few more hills, trees, and creeks in that scenery.

I've been to BM and plan to go again this year. Thanks for the vid kudos...the meds are actually for the bulldog (but lets just pretend I'm unstable)

If I still own my van, that's BM homebase..if sold, it's summer-time tercel (the tan one)

you don't know how psyched i am about this. i'm going to finish off work on the westfalia (propane system, fridge, some front end) so that will be my and my wife's tent. i'm going to seal it off and make it as dust resistant as possible since ron was still covered in the sh*t up until recently from out 2009 trip.

I must have been a cowboy in a previous life...just love those kinds of places. You should check out the California Mojave in the winter...from the Owens Valley on south...good winter camping...temps depend on elevation...lower the better. Some very sublime places to see and be there. Camp away from towns (few) and human artifacts and you'll be OK....cops and other humans are the biggest danger. Might stay away from the Mexican border though. Park your windshield to the rising sun and you get warmed up real well from cold nights.
