I think we all owe the 6pak a big THANK YOU for getting this thing going and for the AWESOME job of designing and laying out the site and forums, and for keeping it all up and running smoothly.

This site has been a tremendous help to me. I definitely wouldn't call myself a mechanic, but I've taken on several small jobs on this car since I started driving it, and the information on the site and provided by the members has helped so much !!

So , thanks, guys !! Job well done, and keep up the good work ??

BTW, I know who 4 of the original 6 were....at least I think I've figured it out. Someone care to provide a complete list ??

1985 Tercel 4wd SR5 - 185K miles (not running)
1986 Tercel 4wd Dlx - 210K miles (dd)

Only 3 to go for the whole set ! lol

Actually,I could only think of six that were active on the old~site and in "The Begining" of the New one.But when I went back I saw that I missed "G~Fumes" of Hornbeam fame...and possibly "SacWac"...sooo the list of Founding Fathers Grows...but the "Thomas Jefferson" of the site would be Ice,he did "Create"it...Ideed!!! :) :D !!!

I was amazed and somewhat amused to find a forum dedicated to the super wacky tercel 4wd, but without it, I would have pushed the car off a cliff long ago. I only hope that someday, somebody will learn something from one of my posts....probably hasn't happened yet. hehhe

I have to agree - I was shopping for a winter beater and found my 170,000 km 2-tone green SR5 6 speed for a great deal. Cheap to buy, cheap on gas, 4wd. It was a logical choice. Now that I've found this site, I've actually become a fan of this one of a kind machine. I haven't posted in a while, but it's only because this little Toyota runs like a top. There are little things of course, but I know I can come to this site for help when I decide to tackle them.
Thanks to everyone for keeping this page going!

I almost look forward to winter now...

Don't worry the history and what not will be on the main page pretty soon. If I post as much as Takza does I may just go nuts. I do appreciate the good info that Takza posts though.

I'll have to agree. This site is awesome! I couldn't believe it either, when I found it. I am a "tinkerer" and really enjoy working on things. The info that this site has aquired, is priceless.

And yes, Takza musta been born in the back of one of these to have such close ties with these cars. He is the "Yoda" of Tercel4WD.com
