Mostly a rant and a bit of a pity party.

So, I go over to the sellers house today to pick up the Terc. Only to find out the tabs are expired and and the licensing office is supposed to close in a half hour, only they were already closed. No tabs, no pass to bring the car on base where I am living. So...the car is still sitting at the sellers house until Monday.

On the bright side it started right up and we took it around the block. There is some rust, mostly on the rear hatch around the badge. 13 in wheels with what look like almost new Hancooks (sp?) on them. The 4wd works and it shifts into the granny low fine with the appropriate lights going on in the dash. I couldn't find any service stuff in the glovebox so I am planning on taking it into Firestone for a $15 check on the mechanicals with intentions of changing out most of it anyway.

I have been invited to go skiing on Tues so I guess I get an early opportunity to try it in the snow up at Stevens Pass.

These are great little ski cars, I drove mine up and back from the ski area today! And will again soon. They are sadly underpowered, though, so don't be surprised at the lack of pep on uphill grades. I leave my house very early so I don't have a big line of traffic behind me, but even so I find myself pulling over from time to time to allow a (insert any other car name here) to pass.

Yes, a zero dark thirty start time sounds like a good idea. Stevens Pass is a longish drive from Tacoma. I thought my first Subby was underpowered, going up in the Terc ought to teach me some patience.
