The ultimate adventure Wagon FORSALE

Post by Barto »

like it says My Beloved tercel is forsale

I have had a bad steak of luck lately and need to sell my tercel. to pay for life.

The good
It is a 1988 tercel sr5 4wd has custom Barto Built lift installed, 4 brand new 185/70/14 good year Ice/snow tires, alloy wheels, custom steel winch bumper on the front with 3000lb super winch, Custom rear bumper with hitch capable of towing anything that the tercel will acutely pull. Custom built 3/16" rocker guards running full length. Steel Roof Rack with spare tire mount. Have 4 full size spare tires 2 are on rims. and a ton of spare parts.
It run great, drives straight, and has never left me stranded.

The Bad
One wheel bearing in the back was making some noise but i have a complete rear diff to put in to remedy this. also 5th gear has never worked, but have a spare tranny to go with it.
Also upon searching the vin # for the diff ratio I discovered that the paper work I have for the car is not legit. The previous owner had several cars and apparently gave me the wrong paper work.
I will be doing a back search and will have papers for it hopefully with in the month, but I do not know how long i can hold out for a sale.

The way It sits with no papers I would like to see 1000$. With papers I would like 1300$ cdn. this is a price only for you guys or friends I will be posting this car locally on tuesday but wanted to give all of you guys a chance first.
I will miss this thing like a a loss of a relative but need to take care of the important stuff first :(

pics.

Millage is 297,000 kms. The paper work issue can be solved by doing a search through ICBC for the previous owner's last address, you then send them a registered letter and wait for a response. If there is no response then ICBC will Issue paper work. The previous owner is dead so a response is very Unlikely.

4doorVIP if you would like to talk to me about the car you can call me @ 250-893-0387. I will wait until wednesday to post locally to give you a chance to call me

If it's still available, I wil call you tomorrow!

Just a few questions.

How is it on the hwy? I'll only be going 90-100km/h - can it still do that with the tranny issue?
Any rust? Hows the frame?
Rips in seats?
Does the heater work, and does it have power steering?

thx man!

4DOORVIP :Yes it is still available I Have not posted it locally because would much rather it stay in the Tercel4WD Family 8)

It is fine on the hwy. will still cruise at around 100kms no problem the larger tires help with this.
There is small amounts of rust in the front of the rear wheel wells frame is solid and the rockers were replaced with 3/16 steel plate custom formed to match the factory rockers = Very Beefy
The interior is in amazing shape with no rips that I can remember. It is dark blue in color and has the Nice factory wheel cause it is an 88
The Heater is great and the Powers steering works without flaw.

I have used this car as my backcountry scouting machine so it has west coast pin striping(scratches from sticks) and the usual dents scrapes on the underside from going off road. neither of which take away from its mechanics or drive-ability. I just want you to know that it is not perfect. I just hate it when someone comes looking at a 22 year old car and starts picking it apart like its new, Cause it is obviously not.
Hope that answers some preliminary questions for you.

Give me a call and we can talk further

BuMP Make me an offer I am very flexible.

Or start calling parts that you would like cause I have a feeling that this thing is going to get parted out.

up for grabs if I decide to part it.

Complete lift kit including rear springs + shocks, front struts with camry springs and strut spacer's , as well as aluminum drive train lowering blocks.
Rims and tires maybe have 3000kms on tires they are good year ultra grip ice, 185/70/14 on escort alloys.
Bumpers and roof rack. Front bumper has 3000lbs. superwinch with all wiring, cyclops spot light, roller fairlead and control box. Rear bumper has 2" receiver, both mount to factory holes.
Obviously everything else on the car as well including all of my spare parts rear diff, tranny, spare struts, etc etc etc.

I have an Idea of what I want for the above listed parts so make an offer if interested and IF I part it out you will be first in line.

I would love to have the various parts as mine is still stock. I don't want the headache of title swap here in the states without proper papers. I am close but its a ferry boat ride across to Port Angeles. So put me on the list for your IF list.... need tires/wheel, bumpers, lift, rack.

Is it still for sale? If so I'm super interested. I live in Courtenay, so I could come up and see it quite easily.
Thanks,
