considering on how important trans lube changes are on our cars, when I get around to doing my engine swap, and trans and diff swap (to the 4.1:1 ratio), I am contemplating installing a remove trans filler and dip stick. So I can check gear lube level as easy as checking engine oil, and make changing or adding oil easy (it might happen more often if it is easy). I am going to fit an elbow fitting to the front drain plug, and screw in a fitting and tube that runs up the firewall that will hold the dip stick.

P.S. A threaded rod that holds things together is called a bolt; a threaded rod that closes a hole is called a plug.
This is not sarcasm or a joke you ******* ******, stop trolling me , get a clue.

yeah, a 22 mm for a 24 MM "plug"(the thing with the magnet on it), I used a random high strength socket i had sitting around(worked fine) I didn't grind it down.

I paint houses, I don't blog on the internet, I do not spell good, when I was a kid we smashed mailboxes for fun, my parents(all 8 of them) all grew weed, sorry if I cannot speak in a way you can understand.

So far I have done valve job, replaced all vac lines, rebuilt carb, new plugs/wires, painted valve cover, painted calipers and drums, completely rebuilt front and rear brakes, new trans fluid, new rear diff fluid, degreased engine, couple other things, have not had a problem with any of it, this car is seriously a joy to work on. Everything happens the way its supposed to.

Hey Krunk, if you are having problems expressing yourself or people are misunderstanding what you are saying (as you mention in your next post) perhaps you should cool off before you start swearing and resorting to that language. As you might notice we are a reasonable bunch and we all have our foibles but this won't be tolerated. It would be nice to have you around and people are happy to help but if you feel that you have to act this way you will be banned as perhaps two others have been before you. Please consider this a warning.
Regards,
Matt

Note - I redacted several words that Krunk wrote, both in his original post and in Mattel's quote; that they pertained to me is irrelevant - I would have done so to anyone.
Crudities have no place here.

Accurate descriptions of tangible items lead to a clear understanding of them.

Perhaps I would not have been so angry if this guy ever said anything useful. Unfortunately he hasn't he just trolls around telling everyone that what they are doing is wrong but never giving any info.

I guess I will leap to my defense... Or rather, repel a renegade rant...

There is an apothegm we used in the Army, when a new troop would profess and proclaim a proficiency and knowledge of an item or situation way beyond what those seasoned in that particular discipline could discern in his actual familiarity with it:

"Sonny, I've got more time in the chow line than you've got in the Army."

Sorry to change the topic, but would someone please let future users know where exactly the fill bolts are? The FSM is really pretty vague. Is that the left or right side? What size are they, or anything else to make it more distintive? The drain bolts are pretty easy to find, but finding all three fill bolts is really throwing me off.

For filler plugs - see page MA-16 of the FSM - and per it, page MT-70 (and many threads on the subject).
