Give a boy a gun-give a biatch a cell phone-and pretty soon you almost got yourself a police state.

Re: wtb intermediate steering link
you're in port angeles, which is a good drive away from petros's area, but from what he and other members have said it sounds like there are a few tercels in junk yards a few hours drive from you. i think you should try takza's recommendation because you've got nothing to lose by doing so but if you insist on getting a new used one i'd suggest asking a few of the other WA-based members about any junk yard tercs they know of.
come to think of it, i believe new member oh_canada was looking for someone to go 50/50 on a parts car that was just advertised on craigslist in WA so maybe drop him a line to discuss. while you're at it, ask him about his kitty cat animation that he uses for his pic. everyone else has pics of their tercs or pistons or other somewhat car-related stuff...and he has a kitty. i get a kick out of that.

used some wd40 on it and did figure eights... seems to be fixed for the moment. Wish I had realized how easy it was to access that piece in the first place. Thanks for the support and persuading me to the right answers.

[quote="splatterdog"]On my 84 with power steering I just put a whole 85 or 86 column in. 85 and up have a u-joint coupler that is designed a little different and is still available, if needed. Fairly cheap too.
I did the same thing my formal 83 model 15 year ago , repair it and lube it ,over and over , that thing turn into oval shape , so I did what "Splatterdog" suggest you guys as above , now I kept 4 steering "U' joint in stock but I forgot to stock up steering column , ha
