Hey all,
Just thought I'd post and introduce myself. Given name is Jeremy but more often referred to as Ogre, and I hail from the ever so so sophisticated state of Iowa lol. Sioux City, IA to be exact. I've owned only one tercel 4wd wagon and the cruel rust that it had when I got it finally did it in awhile back. Ever since then I've missed that car and recently I've been searching for another. Seems like you have a great site here. I'm a fair mechanic and fabricator so I'll try to lend that knowledge to folks here when I can. If anybody spots a decent 6 speed 4wd wagon within a reasonable distance of me I'd be very interested!

Welcome to the list Jeramy (aka Ogre).
This is one of the best lists I have been on, it is a great group. I suggest you travel to a western or southwestern state to find a good one without rust. There are plenty to get at pretty good prices, you just have to travel to find them in states where they do not use salt on the roads.

Hi oh! While I am, and have been living in WA state for a while now, I am still an honorary member of the Scion club in Ames IA. I love Iowa! How could you not? Corn is the shizzle!

Iowa is a good state to drive the T4WD in....I was crossing it one time on my way west....and thought I'd do what I can do around here and just use the compass to navigate not realizing about the mud roads you guys have here and there...I got to use the 4wd and have some fun till I figured I'd never get there unless I found a good highway.

I've always wondered about Takza...so one day you vacationed in the states, made your way to California, bought a T4wd then had it shipped to Tibet?

It's a scientific fact that in a twin engine aircraft, when one engine fails there is always enough power in the remaining engine to make it all the way to the crash site.

Several folks from Iowa have posted here in the last couple years...
http://www.tercel4wd.com/forums/viewtop ... f=8&t=4486
http://www.tercel4wd.com/forums/viewtop ... =15&t=4518

... and all of their Iowa wagons have had moderate to serious body rot.
You would do well to heed the advice of Petros, and seek out a rust-free T4WD from the West or SW.
Welcome to the forum, Jeremy!

In a week or so I may check on the status of a gold one that hasn't made it onto Craigslist. How do you feel about flying down to sunny Texas?
