Going to Japan with my Dad!

Post by SirNik83 »

I haven't been posting because my Tercel is in need of a transmission, and I'm in the middle of a power train overhaul for my Mercedes. (new engine and converting the car to a 4 speed manual) so the poor Tercel is waiting in line for garage space :( anyway, I got word from my dad last week that his company is sending him to Japan to tour the turbine assembly plants of Toshiba, Fuji, and Mitsubishi, and hes going to take me along!

I'm working a visit to the Toyota museum into the schedule! I can't wait!
My first car was a Tercel, and I'm still driving a Tercel, some people say I need an Intervention.

I'm jealous! :) Make sure you visit the main Toyota plant in Toyota City, Japan now known as Koromo, I think! :) Take tons of pics, especially of the Tercel 4WD AL25 and Corsa 4WD AL25 Sedans and Sprinter Carib 4WD AL25G Wagons! :)

Maybe there is a black market for the TVSV?

look at us vultures--screw a pacific north west meet, we should all just head to japan as a big gang and ransack toyota headquarters. then we could make a zany movie about it. terceldude would probably be the chris farley of the group.

I like it! So, should it be the FBI look: sunglasses, dark suit, black shoes with white socks. Or the angry mob look: coveralls and pitchforks, 4 days of stubble?

Exactly what does the typical American T4wd driver look like? What kind of character would it be?

'85 Tercel 4wd DLX auto(daughter's daily driver)
'01 Honda Civic (other daughter's daily driver)

Well, with the dark suit, sunglasses, and white socks (and black fedora?), I'd feel more like Jake or Elwood than an agent, with Goldie standing in for their old Monaco.*
And the angry mob with pitchforks might give The Mothership thought that we were the peasants looking for Dr. Frankenstein (or is it Frahnkensteen?).

*OT, - but did anyone know that Steven Spielberg had a cameo in the movie?
