What do I do with the exhaust recirc for the carb

So I have the new weber all installed and I don't know what to do with the old pipe that comes from the exhaust manifold and ran back into the old carb. What do i do with it now... Can I just block it off?

I have a pic of the tube in question with the weber in the back and a pic with drawings showing the manifold where it feeds into...

You are correct.
You have a Canadian-spec car? The bottom of the exhaust manifold has a steel pipe (which USA-Fed cars do not have) which feeds hot exhaust into a rubber hose which then goes to the OE air cleaner or carb? Where does the big steel pipe shown attached to the EGR valve hook up? Our USA-Fed setup for exhaust feed to the EGR is different.
OT, but - are you using a fuel pressure regulator and gauge? I could see none in the photo.

The plug for the EGR's pipe-to-exhaust manifold, anyway, should be a 20x1.50 (metric) bolt, with washers; ditto if this pipe hooks into the front of the manifold.

I just grabbed a high temp plug and have it hose clamped on there. Canadian car indeed! yeah that rubber hose came from the exhaust manifold. When it wasn't plugged up it sounded like i didn't have a muffler

Fuel pressure regulator and hose? Do I need one or does it just make it run better?

How was the throttle cable installation for anyone here who used the redline weber kit? I can't quite seem to get it to sit nicely... Sis anyone use the OEM one?

The Weber uses much lower pressure than the OE pump puts out - just do a Search for regulator for assorted info and see my pix and splatterdog's as well.
Don't use the Weber-supplied linkage; it is a piece of junk.

my bud who put my weber on for me used the stock tercel linkage but bent it so that the cable ran straight to it, rather than at a slight angle. than the return spring (i think that's what it's called) on the linkage is hooked up to a stud directly below it on the rear side of the engine. i have my fiancee's truck right now, otherwise i'd go take a look so i could describe it better but hopefully you get the idea.

i've blocked that hose, as tom mentioned. i actually did it even with the stock carb--why run hot, dirty air into your engine? it's not gonna like that.

I DO like the Weber - primarily for the lack of odd things happening sporadically with the Aisan & its emissions stuff.
OTOH - my mileage has not really improved; I got 26-31 MPG overall (depending on the season) with the Aisan and the same with the Weber. It may have more power - at least it sounds like it does...
If I ever get around to it, I may fiddle with the jetting. I still have not changed the timing either...
I am intrigued with the bearing accessory that gatemaster did - anyone else try this?

You're in for a pleasant surprise if you are still running stock timing.
