Which head gasket?

Post by Trev »

I'm looking for a replacement head gasket. I'm thinking OEM would be best...but does anyone else have any suggestions on what head gasket to get?

Thanks, Trevor

Felpro products are usually pretty good.

OE would be an excellent choice considering what all mine have been thru and still holding after all these years.

How much does an OE gasket cost though?

I have had good luck with Fel Pro, after I did the modification to improve coolant flow around the exhaust valves. You can usually get them for under $20 from Autozone. Do not buy any discount gaskets (I have seen them for as little as $12.95), they are junk.

Saw at NAPA that they are hitching up with FelPro gaskets...probably the place to get them?
