2010 Pacific North West Meet

Post by SynthDesign »

It's gettin to be that time of the year when you start plannin for the summer before it's gone.

I was thinkin we should start figuring out a meet for this year with enough time for everyone to plan.

I like the idea of starting somewhere around Neu's place in Oregon and heading north up I-5 and ending somewhere close to where we ended up last year by Petros' neck the woods.

Tentatively, maybe the first weekend in August, the 7th or 8th.

So lets hear what you think and who's in!

we did It the 2nd week end in august last time, and that works for me. I have other plans the first week end in august 13-14-15th.

Also that is a long haul from Or to northern WA, we will not get a lot of off road driving done. It seems to me it would be better to pick an area where we spend the day. Not as many people would come if it was for more than a day I suspect too.

I'd be interested in attending a get together. There is an event in Seattle Aug 20-22 that I'd like to attend. That would be a great time for me.

sure, why not? Anyone is welcome, even those from the east coast. I would not mind coming to a BC gathering either, but now I need a passport!

All right, I'm guessing most people have their summer quickly filling up. I say we pick a Sunday (2nd or 3rd week in Aug) and get a game plan together.

I think a meet up or combination of what we had last year would be great.

Ideas?

I like those dates. I think we should limit it to a one day event, not as many can come to multi day events. Or perhaps we can have an optional camping trip associated with it. I want to drive the Cascade loop, or perhasp the forest servcie road 15, Illaboot creek road. Fantastic North Cascades vistas. Or perhaps we can go somewhere south? Mt. Rainer Park? How about the Cascade Caves?
