Loss of accessories was described during my wife's thermal event. Not everything gets power during crank mode. And of course the pleasant burnt electrical smell. I could smell it at ten feet after it had completely cooled to -15f in the driveway.
Even if that old starter still spun, its best that it went away. I wouldn't trust it anymore.
Is my starter cooked?
