I just used 88-92 camry breaks. More of a bolt-on application. Rears too for 2wd versions just need some re-drilling. As for a rear end, you could use the breaks off of the GTS. The real pain in the ass here is getting a brake line setup that works - front might not be an issue but the rear lines are like an older rwd AE86 Corolla GT-S with discs but the AE92 calipers have a banjo fitting instead of the one that screws in. The Tercel's rear steel lines along the axle have to be cut and flared and the flex hose goes between that and the caliper. The options seem to be either use an AE86 kit with adapters or get the hose and fittings and make your own lines. It all comes down to which is cheaper, and the custom method is about $200 US for all the fittings you need. I would definitely go with new lines when doing all this work. The handbrake cable from the GT-S probably fits, but I haven't actually installed it.

What all did you have to do to keep the Terc in one piece with that much more power?
Does an RX-7 have the same diff ratio? Will it mount up?
How did you mount the rear bracket/adapters on? And what part is the axle flange?

The rx-7 rear has 411's and 430's depending on the year. Now the dimensions of the rear are exactly the same as the GTS rear end. It is 54" across and the mountin points are "close". The pumpkin on the otherhand is an inch larger not to mention most are LSD.
I used a GSL-SE rear and got the front indexed to match. What gears, I believe them to be 411

Hmmmm...I wonder how tough it would be to adapt the RX7 IRS to an AE86? Probably much harder than for the tercel fwd... It would be sweet having IRS in an AE86 though...

I'd imagine strategically placed beams of reinforcing steel would do wonders.

Also, having a frame that was not rusty would help too!!!

Lol.. I just crawled under my car. No rust to be seen, other than the exhaust which looks like a good ding from a rock would kill it. Forgot to look as to where you could pop in some steel bars.
Could you find a roll-bar that wouldn't screw with passenger capacity, but would strengthen up the frame a good amount? I can think of a system now, but don't know enough of roll-bars to know if it would be strong enough.

Steel or aluminum. I keep pondering a roll-bar design for my car. I would need it to not interfere with passenger capacity and hopefully not interfere with passenger comfort. Then again, it all really depends on where the frame-like support structures are.

I placed GTS seats in my car and it shifted the seat back about 6" for added legroom. It interfered with my rolcage design but i got over it. Not like I had much time to worry about it!!!
BTW I'm 6'4" tall w/o shoes so the extra 6" was needed!!!!

It's a matter of convinience I guess. What diameter tubing would be needed for such a light vehicle? And what would you do to prevent torqing of the front part of the car? I can see how a system would work, but it would be an interesting time manuevering seats and vents around it. I can see 6 places where it would connect, so long as the frame is strong enough at those points. Of course it would connect a few times with each side across the top...
