carburator rebuild, size of jets

Post by xirdneh »

i have four carbs dissasembled and have spareparts from other carbs.
all carbs are the typical two barrel found in the tercel
some of the tags say 15340
i picked up a 23.00 rebuild kit at o'reily's

the primary and secondary jets have numbers on them
i have three primarys with 101, one with 102 and one with 103
the secondarys (3) with 159 (1) 163
how do i know which ones to use?
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.

how about the ones that came out of your car? Different states have slightly differnt requirements, I recall that CA cars always produced a bit less hp and mpg than the 48 state version, presumably to get lower emissions. I would go with the 48 state configuration.

Good luck.
