sounds good. Lets try to round up a few more members.

I saw a blue 4wd in corvallis today. Honked at him, didn't get a reaction.

This sounds like it's shaping up to be a really cool event

meet/rally
parts scavenging/swapping
BBQ
general reveling

If I lived in the PNW, I'd be there in a heartbeat, but NorCal is just a bit too far away.

Any members from central & northern CA wanna help plan something similar for next summer? If so, I'd definitely participate.

I had one driving down 9th street in corvallis with me once. I pulled up beside and just kind of smirked, he got it. it was funny.

There's one that worked at Good Samaritan Hospital, never talked to her (baby seat in the back, could have been a guy though).

There's a blue one in corvallis.

There are at least 2 more various colored ones in corvallis.

So its the 15th in Shoreline for sure? Do you guys need anything (shirts, stickers ect,)? I have an in with a shirt printing company here so I might be able to get something worked out in a hurry. Also does anyone want any 1" shims to lift their front end? Im about to start making mine and would be happy to cut out a few more for anyone who is interested? It will only cost you whatever it cost me for the matierals. Probably less than ten dollars.

I want something to stiffen my rear suspension on my Tercel.

So lets get some plans agreed on for the 15th: This will be a one day event (sat), or an overnighter?

We meet at the Arlington Pull-A-Part at 9 am (opening time) Saturday morning? Bring tools.

Than we drive to the mountians, up hwy 530 towards Darrington. Are we going to find some remote logging roads to try to damage our Tercels on, or just go sight seeing in the area (fantastic veiws) on paved and gravel roads? I have many suggestions for a sightseeing loop with glaiciaers, waterfalls, lakes and mountains along the way (are short hikes to these places okay, or do we want to stay in the cars all day?). We can end either in a campground if staying overnight, or to a picknic area for the end of the day party, or find a local bar or resteraunt. Or we end at my place (which is along the way) for an evening BBQ? Lots of places to pitch a tent at our place, but we would be rather limited on showers.

I just want to know what to tell my wife to expect for that weekend.

Alright guys, times getting a little tight but hopefully this all works out.

what you will need:
A full tank of gas (maybe not) and topped off fluids
refreshments for yourself
food for yourself (there should be plent of food to share also, but if you are vegan or vegetarian defiantly bring food.
Tools for pull-a-part or road side reapir
A good attatude(this itinerary is only a guide line, we may deviate from the plan if issues occur)
Stuff for a road trip and BBQ(it's all up to you)
...ya I'm probably forgetting something and will update later.

Forum Meet Itinerary: SATURDAY AUGUST 15, 2009

1st meeting point, @9am to 9:30am
Synth's place
1517 NE 170th St
Shoreline, WA 98155

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um=1& ... um=1&ct=10

We can do a short meet and greet, get loaded up and caravan up I-5
Then on to Smokey Point Pull-a-Part. It's about a 40 minute drive.

2nd Meeting Point, @10:30 to Noon
Pull-a-Part
6323 172nd St NE
Arlington, WA‎ 98223
(360) 403-9505‎

http://maps.google.com/maps?client=fire ... e&resnum=1

There we can play in the junk yard, grab a bite to eat in the area or just hang out in the parking lot. This also gives time if someones is running late and want to hit up the mountain loop with us.

Leave around noon and hit up highway 530 through the mountains(Petros will pic the route or we can figure it out as we go)

We can spend the day driving a few different loops or designate a game plan prior @ Pull-a-Part.
We can also designate another meeting point around there if we want to break into a few different groups. Again I'm not sure how many are going to show.

3rd meeting Point, @6:00pm till ....?
Petros' Place for a BBQ.
Location to follow..

Sooooo... Roll Call

I am a screen printer by trade, just been busy. I should have some done by the end of this week. If your really up for it I can email you the artwork and you can have a few made up anyway or come up with your own. No worries. And as for stickers, I've pre-paid a deposit for die-cut stickers and have been waiting on the shop. Every few days I go in and hear " In a day or two" Sorry for the delay

Oh my God! I remember when I was 20. My new car was a few months old and I was waiting to be drafted. The car was a '65 Ford Galaxie 500XL, a real chick magnet. http://www.flickr.com/photos/rblachut/s ... 058362913/ It worked very well. We've been married for over 42 years!

Happy Birthday!

(try to leave as close to 9 am as possible to give us more time as a group)

For those coming down from the north, we can meet directly at the Pull-A-Part starting about 9-9:30 am (and get the pick of yard before everyone else!) Take EXit 206 and go east, watch for the Pull-A-part sign on the north side of the road (just past "Thronburry's Used cars". The yard is off the road about 150 yards down a long driveway, so you will not see it on the highway.

If any of you want to come Friday night PM me for directions to my place. We can accommodate a few guests, or several campers (we have 5 acres).

>Leave around noon and hit up highway 530 through the mountains(Petros will pic the route or we can figure it out as we go)

We should go south down hwy 9 to hwy 92 and go east to Granite falls, than up around the Mountain loop hwy. we can stop at the Big four ice caves, than go on to Barlow pass (steep gravel roads, very scenic), than north to Ice Creek and Darrington. From there we head west on hwy 530 to my place for the BBQ, camp fire, and tall stories.

3rd meeting Point, @6:00pm till ....?
Petros' Place for a BBQ.
