Summer is upon us. Last week I went to the MR2OC Whidbey Island meet. It was a great meeting of comunity.
Pics if you wanna see it. http://picasaweb.google.com/synthdesign ... dbeyIsMeet#
Hopefully we might have something like that here too.

So I'm thinking a Saturday in August, maybe the first. Meeting up at exit 38 @ the Iron horse trail parking lot. BBQ'ing and maybe doing some pass trail runs (they can be done with Most stock vehicles with ground clearance)

I usually have another event I go to the first weekend in august. I would go to a Tercel gathering on the second sat on the 8th or the 15th.

Work'n on all the sticker/ t-shirt stuff right now and would like to have that all there for a meet. I'm gonna head up to exit 38 on Saturday and scout out and take motivational pics, but maybe the third week would work in Aug. , the 15th or 16th. Aug 7th & 8th is formula D @ Evergreen Speed Way in Monroe, WA so my time is planned already for that weekend.

Any other input????

FYI, i have rallyed the crap out of my beater tercel, and it has beaten some good vehicles in the woods on gravel roads.

Maybe it's mostly the driver, not necessarily the car. ;)

Third Sat in August works for me too.

Where we going to go? I love the mountain loop hwy that goes from Granite Falls, up over barlow pass, and through Darrington and on to Rock Port if we like. Lots of scenic side trips to water falls and deep canyons, lakes, glaciers, etc we can take too. They just re-opened up the Big-4 ice cave trail. Or we can explore remote logging roads in the area. We can even do an overnight remote camping trip too.

I'd be down to travel up to washington for a tercel meet up.

Overnight camping is fine, once I get my sleeping-in-the-tercel situation figured out. I need something to pad the bottom pretty well. I also want to make hinges for the speakers, so I can flip them up and not bang my knees on them.

If I were to go up there, it'd be with my girlfriend.

Really i'm open to just about anything, give me a date and whatnot and we'll see if I can make it.

No synth I would not bring my cat.

That is a good question. I live east of Arlington, just off the Cascade loop hwy (between Arlington and Darrington off hwy 530), if we end our trip there we can have a pot luck BBQ at our house. We can even have loud music, a bon fire and a bubba shoot (we live on 5 acres) if you want to bring your guns  . (this ain't Seattle!). We can park about 6 or 7 extra cars without too much trouble in our driveway, 10 or more if some do not mind being blocked in during the event.

Otherwise someone will have to pack a BBQ, or we pay for day use in a campground or public picnic area someplace, and we would have to behave. No loud music, no shooting, no adult beverages. :(

I was just thinkin about packing up a few BBQs, a few coolers, chairs, awning, some food for me and to share, tools and a pump and heading up, but I like Petros' idea way more.
Yeeeeaaaah, PETROS!

Petros, If your willing to host, I'll let you take over the recommendations and details but a scheduled meet with a convoy road trip North on I-5 from Seattle or even Oregon would be great. Maybe one down from Vancouver BC or Bellingham coming south too

As for days, would the 15th, Saturday or the 16th, Sunday be better?

Chad you totally got a place to stay, so don't worry about camping unless you want to.

It's less than a month till then but I'd be happy if only 4 people showed up. I've counted at least 40 PacficNW members.

I think I can do that. My girlfriends birthday is the 19th, so believe it or not I think this would be a great birthday gift for her, as the only time she's been to washington is to visit St. Helens. Also she loves bbq's.

I'm down for this, August 15th and 16th?

Well if Neu wants to head up here from Oregon, some could meet at my place in Shoreline(Pm me for my address). Hop on I-5 north and head toward Arlington. Maybe a stop at the smokey point Pull-a-part and up to Petros' neck of the woods.

Any preferences?
I'm going with Saturday the 15th.
Petros to confirm?

Any more about this
Darrington and on to Rock Port if we like. Lots of scenic side trips to water falls and deep canyons, lakes, glaciers, etc we can take too.

Right now August 15th is looking good for me.

The Arlington Pull-A-Part is not a bad meeting place. Right now they have 3 T4wd, and even a corolla GTS, and a lot of 2wd Tercels (some are pretty well picked over by now). Don't know what will be left by aug 15th.
