"I've owned the car since 1992 and bought it off the original owner with 12000 K's on the clock . I've had 167,000 K's of trouble free motoring until recently when I broke the gearbox whilst reversing !
All normal maintenance has been carried out throughout , including the 100,000 K's timing gear/chain replacement , new C/V joints some 20,000 K's ago and a new windscreen about 4 years ago when the car had its last RWC .
The car drives very well ( or did until I broke the gear box ) and all it would need for a roadworthy would be a set of tyres and perhaps a check of the brake pads and shoes AND , of course , a gearbox or gearbox repair .
I've priced second hand gearboxes and one can be purchased for $350 , then add fitting , maybe new clutch and pressure plate and the car would be a goer again . Or the car may be suitable for spares .
There is some rust appearing in a few places , otherwise the body is in pretty good nick , the interior is good for its age and the engine is fine . Everything works but for the gearbox . It has Rola roof racks and a Reece tow bar ( used for towing a 6 x 4 trailer ). It has never been smoked in .
I am asking for cash as payment and pick - up only ( will need to be trailered ).
