NOT SURE WAT CAR IT IS FROM. IN NEED OF TRANNY FAST. IF ANYONE HAS A TRANNY WITH NO LEAKS AND GOOD MILEAGE AND HAS NO PROB ILL PIK IT UP. PLEASE LET ME KNO IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS ONE. MY TRANNY IS LEAKING.. MAKING WHINY SOUND (SOUND OF DEATH), CAR SHAKES AND DRAGS =/ PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!! AGAIN.. I NEED THE MODEL TRANNY 03-70L FOR 3A SCV MOTOR. THANKS

what year and which model Toyota is that from? where are you located?

the lowest cost source is the self service type wrecking yards (Pull-A-part, U-pull-it, etc.), it is luck if you have one with a Tercel 4wd near you. But there wrecking yards that will ship you a warrantied trans.

Good luck with your search, the 4wd trans in getting hard to find at good price.

the motor was swapped to a 3a scv wen i first bought the car. it took me 3 tries to find the right starter with no info on it. pepboys lost my core =/. the starter is frm an 87 tercel but wen i research the motor it is in old corollas and tercel in 83-84? im a girl who is really confused abt my car now. i raised up the car and saw teh model number so im trying to find the same ones. im located in orange County. the tranny is a big thing so i wanna make sure i get the right one =[

Sounds like you have a rear wheel drive ae86 SR5 Corolla. Manual 5 speed trans? If so, the trans you need is a t-50 'yota trans.

Check out club4ag.com that forum is big on the RWD ae86 cars. I suggest you give a bunch more info than you have given here if you want good input from club4ag, having to guess if we are talking about an automatic or manual is weak. If you want good input you have to give good info in the first place.

im always on that forum. NO ONE ELSE has teh motor in their corolla on their thats y i am on here! i found out info. i need tercel tranny.. for a 87. come on.. what kind of person drives an 86 rolla that doesnt go on club4ag? come on dude. i been on there since forever. -_-' since i kno my motor is related somehow to one of the tercel motor thats y i am on here. dork haha.

Got to call troll on this one. I have had an account at club4ag for over twelve years. Read all the tech stuff several times over. Anyone that hangs out there knows that a t-50 trans is the standard 5 speed in an ae86, SR5 or GTS. They would also know that all A series engines share the same bell housing bolt pattern.

Something just occurred to me, she might need the later style (transverse) transmission from the '87 AND NEWER Tercel. It uses the transverse engine installation, and it would not be compatible with the 4x4 trannys put in the Tercel 4x4 wagons, it must come from the later sedans. I do not think anyone here would have that kind of trans since it is not compatible with the earlier Tercel nor the 4x4 wagon.

You know oddball, it would have helped if you answered the questions I asked in the PM, if you have the transverse engine installation or if you sent the model number from the data plate on the fire wall. Most people on this list are helpful, we could not really answer your question without more information, and you kept (and still are) being evasive about exactly what you own, and what you need. If you want us to be helpful, you have to cooperate at least a little.

I did ask for a pic of the car and the engine installation over a week ago, nothing came back. And yes, I think it is California by the way she talks about it. (there is also a Orange county Florida I believe).

looks like she was scared off by the "stalker" on the list.
