So lets start off by saying that this is the car that Brian gave me.
Yes gave.
Brian, I can't say thank you enough, this car is amazing. Compared to my other one, which has been through forest hell and still puts on, this is amazing.
I've already driven probably 200+ miles on it, and really the ONLY thing that worries me is that slight vibration but overall it's amazing.
227k, or there about.
There was a somewhat bad engine tick/knock, but i filled it up with v-power and it's mostly gone. If I give it a few solid revs, it will usually disappear. i'm thinking timing is off.
It's AMAZINGLY clean. I've already retired it to ON ROAD only driving. And my other car is now an off-road use car only. i went and got probably 800 lbs of firewood the day I got the new car.
And there's also these green LED's under the dash, those are amazing. I'm so happy with this car.
I'll post pictures later, but you guys can just look at brian's old posts.
I have asked him to stay on the forums, he said he'll check in ever once in a while.
after thought: those printed FSM will be so amazingly great to have.

Re: New 1985 SR5.
Aw, now you're making me miss it again.
Yeah, the vibrations were starting to freak me out on my commute, which is why I decided to look for something new, after learning that having a mechanic fix it would cost $800-1800. (I didn't have the time to take it apart myself).
Glad you like the LED's, I installed them because I was tired of dropping things on the floor, and the dome light not being bright enough to see them. It's also fun to drive with them on at night.
If you didn't figure it out, the switch next to the 4wd shifter turns them on and off, and they also come on when the doors are open. I was going to put some red ones underneath the seats to light the rear area, but never got around to it.
Yeah, I almost forgot that I had had those printed out, glad I remembered to put them in the car.
Hope you get a lot of use out of it; I'm glad it went to someone who loves it as much as I did.
BTW, I named it Peach (after the MarioKart character.
) Feel free to give it your own name though.

Sounds like it needs a good carbon clean with a pint of water in an old dishwashing bottle.
Give a boy a gun-give a biatch a cell phone-and pretty soon you almost got yourself a police state.

Re: New 1985 SR5.
tried to clean up the carbon, worked a lil bit.
The tick is still there, but I'll seafoam it in a few days.
Also, 28mpg on the first tank, and i rode it a lil hard. I'm thinking 32 is within reach.
