Hey there, hope the winter snow is treating you well (if you have the pleasure of driving in it)
I am still in love with my Terc, but she is having sever problems with a worn out body, the to her credit, the engine and trans are running strong, what do you all think the chances of coming upon a terc with a body in good shape (+suspension/driveline) which would be a worthy recipient for my healthy ( 129k miles ) engine and trans?
just putting a line out there
thanks again,
Dave.

Re: In search of heartless corpse.
Not too good a chance I would say. These cars are around 25 years old now, unless you get lucky and find one that was washed regularly and kept in a garage for most of it's life, you will likely always have to deal with rusty bodies.
Unless you come south of the "rust belt" to get one. From the Carolinas and south, and low elevation Washington/Oregon and south, and any dry desert state would be good. Near Coastal areas in California, the Gulf and Florida are also not good bets.
Do you have very big issues or much paper work buying a car in the USA and bringing it to register in Canada? May be you can get a parts car in the US and never have to register it.
Good luck.

What kind of price range are you looking in, and would you be at all interested in selling your engine?

Hint: If you replace "4x4" with "4WD"...you find almost as many different T4WDs. "AWD" doesn't find anything.todd0 wrote:ive seen several for sale on craigslist in the rust free states. search all craigslists with the link below. there was a nice one 4sale in wash2 but its gone now. i wish i could pickup one off the list now, but no can do.

Give a boy a gun-give a biatch a cell phone-and pretty soon you almost got yourself a police state.

I'm in Canada too and i see a lot of not so rusty ones in Victoria and Vancouver.
Search there first and if you decide you want to sell your car bring it up to my Tercel haven about 2 hrs from T.O. as i already have a few...one more wont hurt.
