hatchback strut replacement

Post by smilesforu »

I need some assistance... how do I remove the struts from my hatchback rear door. I don't see a simple ring clip and prying with screwdriver is leaving dents and scratches with no results.

I think you have to use an open end wrench to unscrew the ball studs?

Main thing with these is to not put any side load on them...the gas leaks out and they fail.

I have always unscrewed the ball with an open end wrench. Either 10 or 12 mm.
