Not only does your mileage suffer from faster driving...but I'd guess your chances of losing it increase exponentially.

I've driven "fast" at times...and I've noticed a direct relationship between speed and the ability to control...so I try to understand this real time.... My motto? Drive faster...watch your aster? Or something like that.

I drive mostly in a city, so I hardly go over 45.

When i do travel back home (20 miles each way) I usually will drive at 60-70mph, depending how the person in front of me. I like to go whatever their speed is.

That's the average speed on my residential 30 zone! (I keep an old basketball ready for bowling when the kids are waiting for the bus)

And ALWAYS "watch yer aster". My biggest fear is everyone else, especially the multi taskers.

Ride motorcycle on the streets. Then you will fully realize that almost everyone is trying to kill you.
